New strains and where are we now?

Katelyn Jetelina has once again got the scoop on what's happening in the world of epidemiology. In her latest update, she describes recent work to better understand the BA.4 and BA.5 Omicron strains that were originally found in South Africa, and which have now spread world-wide. In short, a small study has shown that prior Omicron infection does not protect against these nearly so well as vaccination.
