Talking about COVID - UNICEF's take

UNICEF (originally the United Nations Children's Emergency Fund now the United Nations Children's Fund) is responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children around the world.  In this resource, UNICEF provides tools for connecting with people to help them learn how to control the pandemic at a local scale based on a conversation with Dr. Saad Omer, Director of the Yale Institute for Global Health.  One of the largest barriers to this is peoples' preconceptions about vaccines.  To connect with people, Omer advises 1) connecting with their values, 2) not interrupting, 3) helping them feel empowered, 4) avoiding a focus on the myths, 5) assuming they will get vaccinated, and 6) not getting discouraged if you're not immediately successful.
