Nearly half of people infected with COVID-19 experienced some ‘long COVID’ symptoms

Via the University of Michigan, we hear that a large percentage of people who've had COVID, even if it's mild, have long term symptoms. The story refers to an accepted paper from the Journal of Infectious Disease accepted on April 16, 2022. The authors looked at 50 other studies comprising nearly 1.6 million individuals. Key take-aways: older people are at more risk as are women and people with pre-existing conditions.
