Cassia Hill Resort, located in Western Belize in San Ignacio, is close to Mayan ruins and natural areas. Despite there being a large number of guest rooms (25), they all have outdoor entrances, and are spaced far enough apart so as minimize the risk of close contact with other parties. Following Gold Star Standards of the Belize Tourism Board, they offer contact-less check-in as well, and have a gap period of 24 hours between guests. Rooms are well ventilated with both AC and ceiling fans. The restaurant is airy and well ventilated, but not strictly open air as it is covered and the windows are slatted. For those who wish to remain apart, room service is available. Activities in the area promote being out-of-doors, and if you just want to sit back and relax, the resort has an outdoor pool. In our research, we've found that the staff is friendly and helpful with just about everything including arranging day trips. Cassia Hill Resort is an excellent choice for an outdoorsy vacation in Belize at a mid-range cost.
