Masks off?

Stephen Cataldo —2022-03-21

This is the best summary I've seen:

"According to the new CDC guidelines, you can take off your mask in these areas because hospitals won’t reach capacity any time soon. This is very different from taking off masks for your own protection against infection, which is an important distinction I fear is lost among the public." State of Affairs: March 21, yet again great information by Katelyn Jetelina.

America is still losing over 1000 people per day to Covid. Today's rate is 72 per 100,000, or less than one person in 1000. I feel healthy and boosted, and am ready to go out again, when I'm not coming home to someone who is at high risk — though a bit cautious in crowds, and plan to wear masks on packed public transit for both Covid-19 and regular colds, perhaps forever.
